A day in the garden: help Hannah in Los Angeles

Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Hannah's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 87 and I have lived in this house in Los Angeles for 34 years. After the storm in May, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of poor eyesight. The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner. Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Rooting for you. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Thinking of Los Angeles!

    • Gave what I could, wish it was more. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.

      • Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. After 19 years in teaching I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
