Paris

My family left the Democratic Republic of Congo 14 months ago after the war reached our town. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Paris. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in October. I was a teacher in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $4,300 goes: • Rent deposit and first month: $2,100 • Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,200 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $380 • Language classes and bus passes: $390 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $230 Thank you so much.

Wanted to say thank you properly. 7% funded and the plan for beds, table and basic furniture is now scheduled.
Quick update: $461 raised so far (11%). I made the first payment toward phone and internet for school and job search. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Thank you all. We're at 18% now ($756). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for phone and internet for school and job search is now scheduled.
