The Hashemi family fled Sudan - help them rebuild in Gujranwala
Help a family of 8 start their new life in Gujranwala: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.
🇵🇰 Punjab, Pakistan1,747 views
My family left Sudan 9 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Gujranwala. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in September.
I was a farmer in Sudan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $400 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $15
• Rent deposit and first month: $300
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $50
• Language classes and bus passes: $35
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Take care, Nida. Shared it with a few friends. My husband and I read this together
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Nida
Phone and internet for school and job search is $15 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. It helps to be asked.
you're not alone, Nida. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care.
You're not alone, Nida. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Greetings from Seoul.
sending love. Hope you get there. Thinking of Gujranwala.
Thanks for sharing this. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Soweto.
