The Haddad family fled Syria - help them rebuild in Bakersfield
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Bakersfield: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Syria 10 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Bakersfield. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a farmer in Syria, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Bakersfield Refugee Support Network, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $4,200 goes:
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $730
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $740
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,730
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Vitória da Conquista
