Clean water and shade for Lille: restoring Harmony Beach
Help us clean and replant Harmony Beach before the July planting window closes.
๐ซ๐ท France1,294 views
Harmony Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 62 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 103 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the municipal water board, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $2,400 goes:
โข Native saplings and stakes: $1,450
โข Tools and protective gear: $270
โข Waste removal and skip hire: $570
โข Signage and educational materials: $110
I hope life is good to you.

what's already covered and what's the $2,400 for?
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. native saplings and stakes comes first ($1,450) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for asking.
Looking forward to the next update. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless.
Best of luck, Pauline. Hope this works out for you. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best
