The Freedom community hall needs a community garden - Fadi's neighborhood project
A community-led a community garden at the Freedom community hall that will serve 394 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,250.
It will serve about 394 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Materials: $1,350
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $195
• Tools hire and delivery: $415
