The Cedar vacant lot needs a solar-powered water pump - Brielle's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $2,450 for materials.
🇺🇸 United States3,155 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,450.
It will serve about 277 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $195
• Materials: $1,850
• Safety equipment and signage: $405
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
