The Cedar health centre yard needs a youth football pitch - Kelvin's neighborhood project
A community-led a youth football pitch at the Cedar health centre yard that will serve 420 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 420 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $150 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
