The Baobab health centre yard needs a skate park - Paula's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,450. It will serve about 517 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,450 goes: • Materials: $3,050 • Permits and inspections: $195 • Tools hire and delivery: $205 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
