My family left Venezuela 14 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Liverpool. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was an electrician in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $230
• Language classes and bus passes: $340
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $940
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,090

Small update. $265 so far, we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.
