For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,350. It will serve about 106 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,350 goes: • Materials: $2,850 • Tools hire and delivery: $220 • Permits and inspections: $280 I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Gianna

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 51% funded and the plan for materials is now scheduled.

  2. We're at 30% thanks to 20 of you. I made the first payment toward materials. More news soon.
