Terry is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at the Los Angeles Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,900.
The registrar has said Terry can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Terry has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Terry would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Terry isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Los Angeles Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $5,900 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,750
• Final term tuition: $3,750
• Exam and lab fees: $250
• Textbooks and materials: $150
Thank you so much.
