Tenant-rights advice for Gabriel in Guarulhos: a short consultation
Looking for housing-law advice in São Paulo: a 40% rent increase with a 30-day notice.
Anywhere in the world961 views
My landlord in Guarulhos has given me a 40% rent increase with a 30-day notice. I've read what I can online, but the rules are confusing and different sources contradict each other.
I'm hoping that someone with experience in housing or tenant rights in São Paulo could spare 20-30 minutes to explain the process, the deadlines and the documents I should collect.
I have my lease, all communications and photos organized. I'm happy to share them privately. I can't pay for a lawyer, so any guidance on free services in São Paulo would also be appreciated.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
