Tammy was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in November. The surgeon at San Francisco Regional Medical Center recommended laparoscopic endometriosis surgery, and She is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,250, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $6,150 short. my wife has been in and out of San Francisco Regional Medical Center since November. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,250 is more than we can find. While we wait, Tammy struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Tammy won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
