Build a wheelchair ramp for Bhavna in Salem
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Salem.
🇮🇳 Tamil Nadu, India223 views
Bhavna has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Bhavna can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Bhavna's family will cook lunch for the team.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Hope things get better soon, Supriya. Looking forward to the next update. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
Best of luck. This could happen to any of us. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless
