Sycamore Park needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Patrick's neighborhood project
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at Sycamore Park that will serve 318 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Sycamore Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,000.
It will serve about 318 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Materials: $1,150
• Permits and inspections: $340
• Safety equipment and signage: $185
• Tools hire and delivery: $325
