Sumbal was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Islamabad Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Sumbal is 29, worked as a bus conductor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Islamabad Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.

• Transport to Islamabad Regional Medical Center: $90
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $860
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
