Need strong backs and a van: moving Gregory to safer housing
Gregory has found a safe new apartment in Charlotte and needs help moving heavy furniture on Monday.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Charlotte, and the lease starts on Monday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has an elevator. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.

So sorry you're going through this, Gregory. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
