Stop the eviction: 5 months of rent for Alberto's family in Cartagena
The closure of the factory left Alberto short on rent for 5 months; help us stay in our home.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 4 weeks, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $1,250.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have three school-aged children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Rent arrears (5 months): $890
• Late fees and court costs: $55
• Utilities in arrears: $90
• First month of rent as a buffer: $215
Every share and every dollar helps.

Stay strong, Alberto. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Take care.
Good luck, Alberto. Looking forward to the next update. God bless
Hope you get there. I have a 17 year old who wants to send good wishes too!
I hope things turn around soon. My neighbor in Mandaue donated after I showed her your page. Love from Mandaue.
Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 21 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
