Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Pooja's family in Thane
The loss of a second income left Pooja short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

When the textile factory closed in September, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $550.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working evenings as a cleaner, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $470
• Utilities in arrears: $30
• Late fees and court costs: $50
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Hang in there, Pooja. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
Take care, Pooja. Gave what I could, wish it was more. God bless.
keep going, Pooja. Looking forward to the next update.
wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Columbus.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Thinking of Thane.
