After a car accident that kept me from work for 5 weeks, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,350.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Hudson
Sure. The biggest one is late fees and court costs, $320. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
