My motorbike: Joshua's only way to earn a living
Joshua drives for a living in Swansea, and a broken suspension has stopped all income for 10 weeks.
🇬🇧 Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom1,789 views
I make my living with my motorbike. 10 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,350. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• suspension replacement (parts): $700
• Labor charges: $230
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $270
• Towing and inspection: $150
With deep gratitude,
Joshua

Thanks for sharing this, Joshua. Looking forward to the next update. God bless.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Rio de Janeiro.
Sending love. Hope you make a strong comeback.
So sorry you're going through this. Small businesses are the heart of Swansea. Hope you're open again soon
Thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from San Jose.
