Roberto can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Roberto regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 California, United States486 views
Roberto has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Roberto can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Roberto's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hang in there, Francisco. I hope things turn around soon. After 23 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Sending strength, Francisco. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Kathmandu this morning. Thinking of San Diego.
