Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Guadalupe's family in Bogotá
The loss of a second income left Guadalupe short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

When the textile factory closed in August, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Monday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $800.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $800 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $240
• Late fees and court costs: $40
• Rent arrears (3 months): $520
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Best of luck, Guadalupe. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
