Stop the eviction: 3 months of rent for Amélie's family in Paris
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Amélie needs $2,700 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Paris.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 12 weeks, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,700.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, we must leave.
I have a toddler and a baby at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,700
• Late fees and court costs: $110
• Utilities in arrears: $230
• First month of rent as a buffer: $660
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Best of luck, Amélie. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better
Sending good thoughts, Amélie. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Sent it to 37 people at work. God bless!
