Luana's hip replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled hip replacement surgery in July is out of reach without help covering $1,500 of the cost.

Luana was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in May. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,500 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since May. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Luana struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Luana won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $150
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,150
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $135
• Travel and lodging for the family: $65
Glad we found this place.
