Stop the eviction: 2 months of rent for Annabelle's family in London
After a sudden layoff, Annabelle is 2 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.

After a sudden layoff at the call centre, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $2,200.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $650
• Utilities in arrears: $190
• Rent arrears (2 months): $1,360
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
