Start-up fund for Riley: reopening a phone repair counter after a break-in
Riley lost a soldering station and testing tools to a break-in and needs $3,150 to reopen a phone repair counter and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a phone repair counter in Ottawa. In June, a break-in took a soldering station and testing tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Initial stock: replacement parts: $770
• Shop repairs and licensing: $520
• Replacing a soldering station and testing tools: $1,860
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Hope things get better soon, Riley. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
You're not alone, Riley. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to Madurai so I could bring a meal. God bless
Thinking of you and your family. I hope things turn around soon. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
