Start-up fund for Obiageli: reopening a barbershop after floodwater
Obiageli lost clippers, chairs and mirrors to floodwater and needs $200 to reopen a barbershop and support the family.
🇳🇬 Enugu, Enugu, Nigeria579 views
For four years I have run a barbershop in Enugu. In August, floodwater took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $200 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $45
• Initial stock: supplies: $55
Thank you for reading my story.

rooting for you, Obiageli. Hope this works out for you.
Hope things get better soon, Obiageli. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
Take care, Obiageli. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
good luck, Obiageli. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Mapo donated after I showed her your page.
Keep going, Obiageli. Hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless
