Start-up fund for Mehul: reopening a bicycle repair shop after a break-in
Mehul lost a full set of tools to a break-in and needs $650 to reopen a bicycle repair shop and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Nashik. In August, a break-in took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $650 goes:
• Replacing a full set of tools: $450
• Working capital for the first month: $100
• Shop repairs and licensing: $100
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Comilla.
You're not alone. Hope this works out for you. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
So sorry you're going through this, Mehul. Shared this with my family. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Nashik
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Mehul
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. replacing a full set of tools is the biggest at $450. Thanks for asking.
Sending good thoughts, Mehul. Shared it with a few friends. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Nashik.
Small businesses are the heart of Nashik. Hope you're open again soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Sending love, Mehul. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Faisalabad.
