Start-up fund for Megan: reopening a street-food cart after a break-in
Megan lost a gas stove and two refrigerators to a break-in and needs $400 to reopen a street-food cart and support the family.

For nine years I have run a street-food cart in Mthatha. In May, a break-in took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $400 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $100
• Working capital for the first month: $85
• Initial stock: ingredients: $215
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Good luck, Megan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Thinking of you, Megan. This could happen to any of us. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
