Start-up fund for Bikash: reopening a small grocery stall after floodwater
Bikash lost a cold-storage unit to floodwater and needs $300 to reopen a small grocery stall and support the family.

For twelve years I have run a small grocery stall in Biratnagar. In July, floodwater took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $300 goes:
• Replacing a cold-storage unit: $210
• Working capital for the first month: $30
• Initial stock: fresh produce: $60
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Bikash?
Thank you. If you're in Biratnagar I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Keep going. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Biratnagar.
