Start-up fund for Alexa: reopening a barbershop after the demolition of the market
A barbershop in Worcester needs help replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors after the demolition of the market.
Anywhere in the world497 views
For twelve years I have run a barbershop in Worcester. In December, the demolition of the market took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Initial stock: supplies: $530
• Shop repairs and licensing: $520
• Working capital for the first month: $550
Thank you for reading my story.

Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about initial stock: supplies, advice is welcome too. It helps to be asked.
