Start-up fund for Adewale: reopening a neighborhood bakery after a storm that collapsed the roof
Adewale lost a commercial oven to a storm that collapsed the roof and needs $200 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For nine years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Benin City. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $200 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $45
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $80
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
Thank you so much.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Adewale
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. working capital for the first month comes first ($45) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
You're not alone, Adewale. Hope this works out for you. I'll check back for the next update.
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Benin City
Keep going. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Benin City.
Sending love, Adewale. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Prayagraj.
gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
Take care, Adewale. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Irapuato.
rooting for you, Adewale. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
