Standing with Taro: early-stage lung cancer treatment costs

Taro was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in April. The oncology team at Yokohama University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Taro is 24, worked as a hairdresser until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Yokohama University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $4,850 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $1,100
• Transport to Yokohama University Hospital: $750
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,000
