Standing with Satish: stage 3 ovarian cancer treatment costs
Satish is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Satish was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in September. The oncology team at Mumbai Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Satish is 47, worked as a tailor until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mumbai Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,050
• Scans and lab work: $250
• Transport to Mumbai Cancer Centre: $110
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $110
• Household costs while unable to work: $130
