Standing with Mary: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs

Mary was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in October. The oncology team at Dar es Salaam University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in January. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Mary is 34, worked as a shop owner until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dar es Salaam University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
