I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 10 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,800. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,800 goes: • transmission replacement (parts): $1,300 • Labor charges: $170 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $230 • Towing and inspection: $100 Thanks for being kind about this. - Ezra

Updates from Ezra

  1. Small update. $867 so far, the first invoice got paid this week.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 20% funded and the plan for transmission replacement is now scheduled.
