Mabel was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in December. The oncology team at Ho Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Mabel is 29, worked as a bakery worker until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ho Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,700 goes: • Scans and lab work: $185 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $50 • Household costs while unable to work: $240 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,225 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
