Standing with Lin: non-Hodgkin lymphoma treatment costs
4 rounds of treatment are planned at Los Angeles Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States945 views
Lin was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in March. The oncology team at Los Angeles Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Lin is 39, worked as a primary school teacher until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $12,200 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,250
• Transport to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center: $1,100
• Scans and lab work: $1,850
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Best of luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Sending love, Ying. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
I hope things turn around soon. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Osaka.
sending love. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. It's not much but it's yours.
Good luck, Ying. Shared it with a few friends. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day
