Standing with Janet: early-stage lung cancer treatment costs

Janet was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in November. The oncology team at Kasarani University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Janet is 52, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kasarani University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $270
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $110
