Standing with Janani: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs

Janani was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in May. The oncology team at Kochi University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Janani is 41, worked as a nurse until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kochi University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
