Standing with Imran: stomach cancer treatment costs

Imran was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at the Richards Bay Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Imran is 26, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Richards Bay Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
