Chitra was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at the Jodhpur Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Chitra is 32, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Jodhpur Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $750 goes: • Transport to the Jodhpur Oncology Institute: $160 • Household costs while unable to work: $410 • Scans and lab work: $180 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Sudhakar

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($255 in total) I made the first payment toward transport to the Jodhpur Oncology Institute. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Sudhakar
