Standing with Bruno: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
Bruno is facing stage 2 breast cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Bruno was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April. The oncology team at the Jacksonville Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Bruno is 39, worked as a bus conductor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Jacksonville Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,900 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $970
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,100
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $830
