Standing with Ana: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
6 rounds of treatment are planned at La Plata University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇦🇷 Argentina926 views
Ana was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in December. The oncology team at La Plata University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Ana is 25, worked as a bus conductor until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to La Plata University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $200
• Household costs while unable to work: $460
• Transport to La Plata University Hospital: $290
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $150
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
- Pedro

hope this works out for you. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. Take care.
Stay strong, Pedro. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in San Diego but we're thinking of you. Take care.
Rooting for you, Pedro. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Take care.
Sending love. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
