Adewale was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in February. The oncology team at Lagos Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Adewale is 55, worked as a taxi driver until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lagos Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,600 goes: • Scans and lab work: $110 • Household costs while unable to work: $165 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,325 Thanks for reading all this.
