Bronx
Soledad lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Bronx Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550. Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Soledad could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $550 goes: • First-year servicing plan: $350 • Delivery and set-up: $70 • Fitting and training sessions: $130 Thanks for reading all this.
