Sofía's stomach cancer treatment fund
Sofían is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Sofía was diagnosed with stomach cancer in October. The oncology team at Valencia Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Sofían is 41, worked as a bakery worker until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Valencia Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $5,450 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,150
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,850
• Transport to Valencia Regional Medical Center: $450
