Volunteers wanted: Diana's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Diana's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 88 and I have lived in this house in Accra for 29 years. After the storm in July, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.

Hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend!
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Accra.
Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Accra.
Wishing you peace. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We're a small family in Cape Coast but we're thinking of you.
Wishing you peace, Diana. Shared this with my family. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Ikeja.
